Dunaway`s Beef & Ale in Troy

Nice neighborhood bar with helpful staff and a mid Saturday afternoon quiet atmosphere. The bar has a nice selection and a whole lot of character. The new hospital across the street will likely come in handy in the future as well.

A disappointing meal. Wife ordered a corned beef reuban but I'm pretty sure it was their standard roast beef ... funky tasting at that 😝. Kids had a cheeseburger and a 3 cheese sandwich and those were both nasty. I ordered the cold turkey hoagie and glad I did. It was the best sandwich of the four. Had to take the kids to Wendy's afterwards so that they were fed. Heartbreaking fact, but I won't be going back.

Great atmosphere! I can recommend the smoked wings and Italian sausage sandwich. Pastrami looked amazing.

Waitress forgot me. I was counting down in my head to the get up and leave when another waitress noticed I had been sitting for about 30 minutes. Food was good. Roast beef was a bit salty. An hour and a half to order, eat, and pay for a sandwich.

Wait staff was too busy small talking behind bar. It was not busy at all, so you'd think they would want to do a good job and make their top a little bigger......guess not.

Very good corned beef sandwich and raspberry tea. Very reasonable price. Owners are very nice as well.

Eh... Food was dry. The pickles were good though. I had the corned beef sandwich and fries around lunch time.

The pizza here is one of my favs! It's a little pricey but worth trying, even their cheese pizza is unique and delicious. Otherwise they have creative pizza dishes and a nice atmosphere with friendly waiters who always greet us with a very warm and welcoming smile.

The food was terrible, brought a couple friends since normally we have no issues with the drinks. We decided to try the food this time, and heard good things about the chili. When my friends received their chili it was ice cold, my mozzarella sticks were cold as well. Server took a very long time to ask for our order and it wasn't very busy.

Good pizza!

Good is pretty good. Bartenders usually drink while working and the service to get a drink is terrible. The guy who cooks on Saturdays bust his butt and makes good food but I usually leave right after I eat

Went last Friday night. Great service and food was very tasty. French onion soup in bread bowl was delicious and roast beef sandwich also very good.

We stayed in Troy OH for one night and someone told us we had to be drinking at Dunaway's. What a great time we had there. Sandy is one of the best hosts I ever met. Thank you, Sandy!

Had a tasty pizza for lunch. Always a good choice. Reasonable prices, good variety on sandwiches and pizza and beverages. Always friendly staff.

Not just a bar, it's a restaurant. With great food, laid back atmosphere, and Irish theme. St. Patrick's day here is insane, If you like crowds. I've been going there for 10 years. It's been around since 1991. It's like second home to me. Great selection of liquor, and beer. Kids are welcome. They have lottery, keno, and an ATM. 7 TVs. Just built a deck outback, they have outdoor seating outfront as well. If you like comfort food, and good music, come on in.

Not cheap but a great menu

This s a great place to get good food that's made without preservatives and that's baked not fried. I have lots of allergies to food additives and for over 20 years I've been able to eat here worry free. It has a cozy Irish Pub feel and is less noisy and less crowded than sports bars and chain restaurants.

This place is amazing! Great food! Awesome people! I will definitely be going back again.

Stopped by for lunch. Fun, fun, fun atmosphere. Food was excellent. Corned beef on rye. Yummy. Everyone was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Troy.

Two servers, they were not busy, took my wife 20min to get her beer, got my chili after 40min, two tables arrived after us and got their food before us. She would walk by us several times and not make eye contact (intentionally in my opinion) on her way in and out to the deck. When she did finally bring the beer, the server said "I almost forgot", but she clearly forgot. If she said "Sorry, I forgot your beer" that would have made some difference, but I'm not sure she apologized once even as we paid for our beer and walked out (not sure if the food was ever made, chili aside). I'll do my best to not ever go back.
